Helping Support You with Chronic Illness and Pain
Are you newly diagnosed and scared? Overwhelmed? Or have you lived with your condition
for a while and now you are sick, angry, tired?
I can't take away the illness but I can sit with you; I can listen; and I can provide you with tools to help with the Anxiety and Depression that often accompany chronic / terminal illness and disability.
My Health Story
I was the caregiver for my mother who went to her glory from breast cancer in 1984. I have been a Hospice Counselor and Peer Leader. For the last 14 years I have facilitated a Cancer Support Group for survivors of cancer and their caretakers.

I have spent much of the last 35+ years working with those who have had serious medical issues ranging from Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), AIDS, Cancer, Heart Disease, Chronic Debilitating Conditions, Autoimmune Diseases. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a member of the disabled community.
I started becoming ill in 2008. I saw a myriad of doctors including those at the Mayo Clinic, and I have had multiple diagnoses none that truly encapsulated the breadth of my disorder. I became unable to work full time in 2012 and I left my corporate job in 2013.
I went from walking, to a cane, and ultimately to a wheelchair with multiple hospital stays in between before being diagnosed accurately with a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disorder, Myasthenia Gravias. In early 2023, I was diagnosed with a second autoimmune condition, Multiple Sclerosis and I am now in active treatment for both conditions.
Today, I am a working disabled person who is constantly battling pain and a return to the wheelchair. I use the tools I share with my clients to improve my own quality of life; and I am constantly researching ways to continue to improve my functionality and that of my clients.
